Battles B.C. was an 8 episode series produced for The History Channel that chronicled the great battles of ancient times. We created a graphic style akin to ’300′ that allowed for the intense amount of violence and gore to be allowed on network television without issue.
I worked as a Lead Motion Graphics Animator, animating hundreds of 2d scenes for Battles B.C in After Effects. Most notably, are the “blood shots,” our quick graphic shot illustrating a kill scene. In addition to this were the map scenes, illustrating movement of armies across the world, and how armies employed strategies. I also designed the lower third, backgrounds for experts, title cards and directed creative staff.
